The Conspiracy Pandemic in the United States

While COVID-19 continues to wreak havoc in the United States, something equally disturbing is plaguing some of its citizens.

QAnon first emerged on 4chan, with its followers believing that “the world is controlled by a Satanic cabal of Satan-worshiping pedophiles” and have attributed major events like shootings and even the COVID-19 crisis to this “Satanic cabal”.

QAnon members’ fear and paranoia have led them to conduct acts of terror, harming members of the public, and even their families. Social media sites are beginning to crack down on QAnon related content, but not quite fast enough as it creeps its way into the political system.
