From a humble engineer to pro bono Social Justice Warrior

Mr Balchandani, a courageous and committed lawyer who represented Indonesian maid Parti Liyani in a series of tangled household accusations, has finally successfully fought for her acquittal after 4 long years.

His passion for fighting alongside the underdogs has lauded applause from society, many of whom expressed respect and praise for the engineer graduate. He received his engineering degree from Carnegie Mellon Univeristy and later received his Juris Doctor degree from Singapore Management University.

In this saga, he represented Ms Parti Liyani, an Indonesian who worked as a maid at ex-CAG (Changi Airport Group) chairman’s home. She was initially accused of stealing the 144 of the master’s personal items, including a Gerald Genta (worth $10,000), and a black dress. A dress worn by the master himself? Don’t ask why.
