China’s Rich redefining the standards of bodyguards

In this digital age, cybersecurity breaches are becoming more commonplace than ever before. Especially in a highly surveilled country like China, it is no wonder that the rich are scrambling to secure their networks to prevent attackers from gaining access to their digital assets.

In order to meet their rich clients’ needs, bodyguards have to be equipped with advanced digital skills apart from the traditional close-protection combat skillsets, weapons training, and high-speed driving skills. Trained in the Genghis Security Academy, these bodyguards are subjected to strict disciplinary and training standards.

Those who eventually meet the cut could potentially earn as much as 500,000 yuan (approximately $100,000SGD) a year inside China.
