Going off “The Deep” end

Have you ever thought about how different the world would be if we had superpowers?

The Amazon original,  “The Boys”,  presents the complexities of both living among and being a superhero yourself. Heroes are flawed individuals, they work for a corporation that values brand over the public good, and citizens are indoctrinated to think otherwise. Not the most ideal world as we might imagine.

The superhero, “The Deep” is more than a parody of Aquaman. He personifies our anxieties of being different physically and how damaging growing up with these anxieties can be.  His character reminds us that we cannot outrun our demons, we have to face them.

His friends are also mostly fishes.
