Woman wears skirt, gets attacked

In the latest case of street harassment in France, a woman from Strasbourg gets attacked in broad daylight. The reason being that she was wearing a skirt.

The victim, Elisabeth, reported that she was walking home when she encountered three men who commented on her choice of clothing. As though providing unwarranted remarks on a stranger’s dressing was not bad enough, one of the men also proceeded to hit her in the face. Onlookers watched on but no one stepped in to stop the men or help the victim. Subsequently, the men ran away.

Junior Interior Minister Marlene Schiappa severely condemned this incident, blaming misogynistic and violent people who do not fear the law for such attacks. Read here to find out more.
